Antiseptic SinoFresh™ Nasal Spray
Fact Sheet for Pharmacists
- Inhaled molds trigger allergic and non-allergic inflammation in the nose and sinuses
while trapped in the mucous layer.
- Pathogenic bacteria colonize the nasal cavity and can cause sinusitis in the presence
of enough underlying inflammation.
- Antiseptic SinoFresh™ Nasal Spray is the only product available that attacks the
cause of non-allergic and mold sensitive chronic nasal and sinus symptoms.
- Antiseptic SinoFresh™ Nasal Spray contains cetylpyridinium chloride (CPC), the same
active ingredient in Scope® and Cepacol® mouthwash. CPC has been proven safe for
over 40 years.

- Extensive clinical observations have demonstrated that red, inflamed, exudative
mucosa becomes moist and pink within weeks of twice-daily use.
- Patients whose predominant symptoms are not “wet and runny” respond most favorably
(i.e. not seasonal allergy, common cold, vasomotor).
- No significant adverse side effects reported to the company to date.
- Not addictive, no direct decongestant effect or drying effect.
- Mint aromatics refresh the nasal membranes and remove bacteria and odors that may
cause bad breath in up to 10% of halitosis cases.
- May be used in conjunction with other over-the-counter nasal or sinus care.
- Not a substitute for antibiotic therapy in bacterial sinusitis, but may be beneficial
in conjunction with antibiotic therapy.
- May be used in children with physician’s initial observation, otherwise has been
used in all age groups.
