It was while Charles Fust was doing consulting engineering work with the U.S. Maritime
Administration in 1989, that he had his first "A-HA!" moment. While overseeing engineering
surveys of dank cargo holds, Fust realized that the men on the ships around him
were suffering from serious sinus problems. When he too, began suffering with upper
respiratory problems, it dawned on him that there must be a connection between the
swamp- like, mold-ridden environment of the ships, and the chronic sinus problems
that he and hundreds of servicemen were experiencing. He had a hunch that breathing
in these toxic organisms was triggering an immune system response that was in some
way aggravating his sinuses.

Fust went to work creating a hygienic product that sought to address the causes
of sinus infection ? the growth of bacteria and molds in the nose - not just the
symptoms. He knew he was on the right track when in 1999, The Mayo Clinic announced
the findings of a breakthrough clinical study in which it was found that fungus
and bacteria can actually cause sinus infection, the very idea Fust had already
set out to prove. Since then, other studies world-wide have reached the same conclusive
results.

At this point, the intersection of Fust's chemical background aligned with his entrepreneurial
instincts. He secured worldwide patents for the intranasal application of antiseptic
agents and domestic patents related to the preventive care of the nose and sinuses.
He also identified the need in the marketplace. He reasoned that with more than
37 million Americans suffering with diagnosed chronic sinus problems, and possibly
double that amount self-treating themselves with over-the-counter medications that
treat the symptoms of sinus infection, but not the cause, a nasal spray that could
kill the agents that cause sinus infection, could have far reaching health benefits.
In 1999, armed with the only product to date that attacks the bacteria and molds
that cause the infection, Fust founded SinoFresh HealthCare, Inc.

Today, as CEO and Chairman of SinoFresh HealthCare, Inc., Fust oversees a dedicated
staff of business and healthcare professionals devoted to oral and nasal health
care.

Born in Panama City, Florida in 1943, Charles Fust Jr. attended Auburn University, where he majored
in chemistry, and later worked for the Ampex Corporation in Alabama. He eventually
took over his family's dry-goods business and quintupled the store's profits in
five years. He has also owned and operated a resort hotel complex on Panama Beach,
Florida, and established an import/export business based in Hong Kong
